These SMS Terms explain BakeFlow's text-message program: who sends the texts, what they contain, and how to stop them. They are part of our Terms of Service and should be read with our Privacy Policy.

The short version

If you gave your mobile number when you ordered or signed up on BakeFlow, you may get texts from BakeFlow about your order and the bakery's updates. Reply STOP to any text to stop. Reply HELP for help. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. We never sell your number or share it for anyone else's marketing.

1. Who sends the messages

Text messages are sent by BakeFlow (bakeflow.us) — a service of DALL Hearth And Tart, LLC, a California company doing business as BakeFlow — the online ordering platform where you placed your order or signed up. BakeFlow hosts the storefront, runs the checkout, and keeps the order records for the bakeries on the platform, and sends you texts about the orders and updates you have on the platform. A message may name the bakery so you know which order it's about, but BakeFlow is the sender. Messages are delivered through our telecommunications provider.

2. How you sign up (consent)

You agree to receive BakeFlow's texts by giving your mobile number for that purpose, in one of two places on a bakery's storefront on the BakeFlow platform:

In both places we tell you, at the point you enter your number, that you are agreeing to receive automated texts from BakeFlow, and we link these SMS Terms and our Privacy Policy. Providing your number is not required to buy anything, and consent to marketing or menu-notification texts is never a condition of a purchase.

3. What kinds of messages you'll get

4. Message frequency

Message frequency varies and depends on the bakery and your activity — for example, updates tied to an order you placed, or an occasional note when a new menu opens. You will not receive a fixed number of messages per week or month.

5. Cost

Message and data rates may apply. These are set by your mobile carrier, not by BakeFlow. Check your mobile plan for details.

6. How to stop messages (opt out)

You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any text. You'll get one confirmation that you've been unsubscribed, and then no further texts from that sending number — we honor STOP at the carrier level and record it so it sticks. You can also ask the bakery directly to stop. If you opted in for menu notifications by email as well, use the unsubscribe link in any email to stop those.

Note: even after you opt out of marketing texts, we may still send messages needed to complete or update an order you have already placed.

7. How to get help

Reply HELP to any text for help, or contact us at [email protected]. For help with a specific order, you can also contact the bakery you ordered from.

8. Your privacy

We use your mobile number only to send the messages described above. We do not sell your mobile number, and we do not share mobile information collected for text messaging with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. The only parties that receive your number are the bakery you gave it to and the messaging/telecommunications providers that deliver the text to your phone. See our Privacy Policy for the full picture.

9. Carriers and delivery

Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on your carrier and device, and BakeFlow cannot guarantee that every message will arrive.

10. Changes and contact

If we change these SMS Terms materially, we'll update the effective date at the top of this page. Questions about the text-message program:
